REHABMed – Medical Rehabilitation & Medical Technology Medical rehabilitation offers enormous potential for cost savings in the health care system. A study undertaken by PROGNOS has proven that for each euro spent on medical rehabilitation four euros are saved in the health care system. No measure is more sustainable than medical rehabilitation. Thus this sideshow, that also includes innovative products and services from the medical technology industries, is one of the future-orientated key topics of REHAB. REHAB - Therapy Modern, effi cient methods of therapeutic treatment are the backbone for healing diseases and the recovery of physical and mental abilities of disabled people. Due to the vast variety of symptoms of disabilities or diseases as well as their particular characteristics, therapeutic treatments have to be customized very individual to ensure optimum treatment success. At REHAB there will be shown a variety of modern therapeutic treatments, displaying the value and benefi t for both patients and the society. REHAB - World of Cars These days, driving a car is a matter of course and a normal part of everyday life. Due to technical changes and individual adjustments to vehicles, people with physical limitations must no longer go without this mode of mobility and can enjoy the full advantages when planning their daily routines. REHAB - Construction & Living Many people with disabilities, as well as people with age-related limitations, fi nd themselves confronted with considerable barriers, which limit them in both their domestic environment and in their social and public lives. Even though there are currently more than 6.6 million severely disabled people living in Germany, barrier-free buildings are still the exception. REHAB - Cerebric Rehabilitation Traumatic brain injury can impair the affected person in many different ways, physically, mentally and emotionally. REHAB – Leisure & Travel These days, a disabled person‘s desire to lead an independent life is not just focused on their daily routine. To increase their quality of life, more and more people with disabilities are looking to fi ll their leisure time with sports, games and other worthwhile activities. Tourism-related services are also gaining in importance. Discovering unfamiliar regions, countries and foreign cultures is, after all, also of great interest to people with disabilities. REHAB – Child & Youth Rehabilitation The rehabilitation of children and young people is very different to that of adults. One must consider not only the changes arising from physical growth and mental development, but the development potential within the context of the family and the environment is also of great importance to ensure optimum treatment success. |
